Chuck Norris was Scottsdale resident Scott Harkness’s greatest hero — a love so deep the Special Olympics athlete owned 25 Norris t-shirts, one of which he was wearing the night he was killed.
Harkness was shot and killed on Feb. 6 as he walked home from a Zipps Sports Grill in Scottsdale — a regular activity for the special needs community member. He was found laying on the road near Hayden and Camelback roads. He was taken to a local hospital where he died of injuries.
Following the unexplained, random murder, Harkness’ t-shirt collection soon will be auctioned off in support of Scottsdale Special Olympics.
