I’m responding to Linda Johnson’s Nov. 8, 2023, Letter to the Editor, entitled: “Patriots need to think before defending.”
Ms. Johnson defines patriots as people who “strongly support their country and are prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors.” Ms. Johnson states, that people who “disparage” our system by suggesting that the Constitution is no longer working are “detractors” of our American system of government. My assumption is that Ms. Johnson firmly believes that President Trump is a “detractor.”
Most people who have been elected to public office or who have served in the military or law enforcement recall that their oath of office specified their individual duty was to protect and to defend America against “all enemies, foreign and domestic.” Those enemies of America could be any individual, organization, government, media outlet, NGO, or political party that has the sole purpose of subverting and transforming our republic into a totalitarian state that denies our constitutionally recognized, God-given rights.
As president, Trump pledged to defend America against all enemies, “foreign and domestic.” “(The president) shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed.....The United States shall guarantee to every state in this Union a republican form of government and shall protect each of them against invasion and against domestic violence.” BLM, antifa, the Democrat Party, RINOs, the Chinese Communist Party, three-letter federal agencies, are all attacking the foundations of America. Trump has been very vocal about the threat the Democrat Party and Republicans in name only pose by not doing their duty to preserve and defend America and enforce our Constitution and our laws. Yes, Ms. Johnson, the Constitution only works when those who have sworn an oath to preserve and defend the Constitution actually follow their oath. Democrats and RINO Republicans have shown a total disregard for preserving our American system of government. Currently, President Trump is the only one who has had the courage to warn America about the pending danger. President Kennedy was another president who dared to warn America.
The 1828, Noah Webster Dictionary definition of Patriotism: “Love of one’s country; the passion which aims to serve one’s country, either in defending it from invasion, or protecting its rights and maintaining its laws and institutions in vigor and purity. Patriotism is the characteristic of a good citizen, the noblest passion that animates a man in the character of a citizen.” Trump is a patriot; Joe Biden is the enemy of the Constitution.
True “detractors” of our Constitution are those who would demolish our Constitution and open our borders to millions of foreign immigrants to freely occupy our land, pillage our wealth and our resources. The wealthy instigators of this plan to absorb America into a global, new world order has been in the works since World War I. Do a search for President George H.W. Bush’s 1990, 9/11, New World Order speech to a joint session of Congress.
Why is Trump considered a patriot and feared by globalists? Trump will stop one world government in its tracks and hold traitors accountable. Trump is a good, American citizen who keeps his word.
