My head is spinning after reading three editorials in the Nov. 15, 2023, edition of the Independent. Bruce Campbell whines about the debate over Trump. National elections have consequences, even at the local level. Hope you enjoy the propaganda live on CNN and Fox News. Wake up! We had no wars started under President Trump and the economy was booming.
Now onto William Lane, who states readers are distressed over the local opinion page. Really? The country and the world are going to hell and you want a local vacation guide?
Finally we have Robert Bass, speaking about weapons of war. You need to understand that there are unhinged, evil people in the world. Could that possibly be the reason the founding fathers included the Second Amendment in our country’s founding documents? We have a Second Amendment to protect ourselves from evil. We have thousands upon thousands of illegal immigrants coming illegally into our country. Where are the real men? I’m so distressed by the weak-kneed, milquetoast “men” in this community. Grow up and stand up for our constitutional rights and perhaps read some of the stories about the heroes behind the founding of this great nation and the sacrifices they made for this nation.
