Registration is open now for the annual Glendale Family Bike Ride.
The city-sponsored event features three ride routes: short (7 miles), long (15 miles) and extended (23 miles).
The ride starts at 8 a.m. Sunday, April 14 at Sahuaro Ranch Park, 9802 N. 59th Ave., in Glendale.
The ride is free for all ages and open to all skill levels. Bicyclists will take a leisurely ride through neighborhoods that highlight Glendale bike lanes and pathways. The extended route also showcases the 63rd Avenue pedestrian/bicycle bridge.
All riders must be on the road by 8:30 a.m. Snacks and water are provided at rest stops along the routes.
Registration, release forms and bike helmets are required. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Free event T-shirt to the first 500 to register and attend the event.
