In addition to traditional ceremonies commemorating the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., many events are scheduled throughout the Valley, including many days designated community service days.
From a dinner celebration in Scottsdale to a march in Phoenix, King observances during the month include planned virtual and in-person programs.
Some municipalities are having a National MLK Day of Service to do such things as beautifying communities in honor of the man who made a difference in his community and abroad.
