Record tour not the first time Taylor Swift called on Glendale first

Eras Tour grosses $2.2B after launching in West Valley city

With Taylor Swift’s groundbreaking Eras Tour officially in the record books, one West Valley city brought the superstar quite the start to the whole spectacle – again.

What seems like a long way off now, 21 months ago Swift opened her tour with back-to-back sold out shows at State Farm Stadium in Glendale. While the overall tour finished Sunday as the highest-grossing tour of all time for a second year in a row, it began with her becoming the first artist to sell out two State Farm Stadium shows on a single tour.

Glendale has been Swift’s good luck charm it seems. In 2018 she kicked off her Reputation Stadium Tour also at the home of the Arizona Cardinals, located within the Westgate Entertainment Center.
