Ramp reconstruction will require the closure of 32nd Street between Wood and Elwood streets in Phoenix from Friday night until Monday morning, state transportation officials said.
The work begins 8 p.m. Sept. 13 and will end 4 a.m. Monday, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Westbound Interstate 10 will be closed between State Route 143 and I-17, so the on- and off-ramps at 32nd and 40th streets will be closed.
Drivers headed to westbound I-10 should use the on-ramp at Washington Street, and drivers headed to eastbound I-10 should use the ramps at 40th Street, ADOT officials said.
Northbound 32nd Street detour: Drivers on northbound 32nd Street should use eastbound Broadway Road to northbound 40th Street to westbound University Drive to access 32nd Street north of the closure.
Southbound 32nd Street detour: Drivers on southbound 32nd Street should use eastbound University Drive to southbound 40th Street to westbound Broadway Road to access 32nd Street south of the closure.
When westbound I-10 reopens, the on-ramp at 32nd Street will be open, according to ADOT.
