Recommended raises would start Chandler teachers at $55K

Legislative process still to determine FY 25 school funding

A unanimous decision by the Chandler Unified School District Governing Board at its Feb. 14 meeting would give teachers and other CUSD staff raises next year — if everything falls into place.

The board approved the CUSD Citizen’s Advisory Budget Committee’s recommendations on the district’s 2024-25 budget.

The CUSD budget for FY24-25 is based off the governor’s proposed budget that was released in January, though that’s subject to change as the Arizona legislature and governor negotiate. The Budget Committee reconvenes in June before the proposed budget is presented to the CUSD board.
