Residents of the Cave Creek Unified School District are targeting five school board members in a potential recall effort.
The district joins several others in the Valley where parents are targeting school board members for removal. However, where other recalls have been focused on mask and COVID-19 issues, the Cave Creek attempt is in part fueled by parents’ issues with funding cuts earlier this year.
Board members Elizabeth Hatcher, Scott Brown, Brianna Walker, Jeff Fortney and Janet Busbee have been targeted in petition drives requested by Anna Travaglini.
