Found just east of the hustle and bustle of the Phoenix metropolitan area — where some might say God’s country meets a modern illustration of heritage — sits an enterprise of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, the We-Ko-Pa Casino & Resort.
Located in Fort McDowell near Fountain Hills, and open to the public for the past six months, the grand unveiling of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation’s $140 million investment of a re-imagined We-Ko-Pa resort site occurred in late October.
“Everything here is brand-new construction — our focus is to be a destination property,” said Zachary Gallo, who serves as executive director of food and beverage at We-Ko-Pa.
