RCSC budget on block again in Sun City

Board will see similar document

The Recreation Centers of Sun City board will consider the corporation’s 2023 budget for approval for the second time after it was rejected in October and November.

But the document they see will be very similar to the first. The only change is a reduction in the amount to be transferred to a reserve account. The new version of the budget still contains a $29 increase in member annual assessments, going from $496 to $525. The only change Bill Cook, RCSC general manager, recommended was transferring $3 million from carry forward to capital reserves, rather than the $4.5 million in the previous budget proposal.

The board will consider the budget in its next business meeting 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15 in the auditorium at Sundial Center, 14801 N. 103rd Ave.
