Ray Wallner

Ray Wallner, 85Sun City resident Ray G. Wallner died May 19, 2008.Mr. Wallner was born in Tappen, N.D. Before retirement he was a teacher and coach for many years in North Dakota and Oregon. He loved bowling, fishing and camping in his spare time. He was a 12-year Sun City resident prior to his death.He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alice Wallner; a son, Wayne (Lori) Wallner; a sister, Beverly Wentz; six grandchildren, Michael, Nathan, Matthew, Erin, Alison and Amanda; and eight great-grandchildren, Kaidee, Kaliee, Michael, Chancelor, Madeline, Jonathan, Austin and Danielle.He was preceded in death by a son, Clark Wallner in 2005.Funeral services were conducted May 23 at Fountain of Life Lutheran Church, 15630 N. Del Webb Blvd.Donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 1028 E. McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85006.
