Rawhide Wash flood mitigation cost doubles to $30M

No sound wall for Miller Road

Flood mitigation efforts in the Rawhide Wash in North Scottsdale are doubling in cost, which means the city’s share will cost about $1.05 million.

The project is closely tied to the controversial Miller Road extension, though technically a separate project.

The Miller Road extension project has been on the books since 1991, but the timing of it is tied to the flood mitigation project in the wash, said Scottsdale City Works Director Dan Worth.
