Rasmussen: Masking, vaccination are personal choices

Posted

I believe in American values, especially freedom of choice. I cherish my personal freedoms, especially when it comes to my body. I choose not to be vaccinated.

What is the purpose of vaccinations? To prevent the inoculated from contracting an unwanted disease or infection. So, why are the vaccinated so afraid of the unvaccinated? The logic escapes me.

However, I was informed that the unvaccinated members of Sun City Players Community Theater were not allowed to participate in-person in any productions. I had planned to assist with set-building efforts for an upcoming production and am not allowed because I am unvaccinated.

I have provided Players with volunteer publicity, advertising sales and fundraising efforts since 2018 and canceled my membership due to blatant discrimination.

Our freedoms are being attacked from so many directions by those who do not embrace our right to personal choice.

I will mask up, but not be coerced into putting a vaccine I do not need into my own body. That is my personal choice. I do not criticize the vaccinated and assuming the vaccine is effective, they have no need to fear me … maybe that is the real question?
