A Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant with a double drive-thru is to be constructed south of Southern Avenue on the west side of Alma School Road in Mesa, replacing the former Mimi’s Cafe building.
A development incentive permit to allow for deviations from certain development standards for the property in a limited commercial district was approved by the Mesa Board of Adjustment in a 6-0 vote Feb. 2 of a consent agenda with other items, with Heath Reed absent.
“The site is currently developed with a building; that building is no longer in use. It is the former site of the Mimi’s Cafe,” Staff Planner Sean Pesek said during a study session prior to the meeting.
