The reasons for multiple fiberoptic installation companies knocking on the doors of Chandler homes were explained at a June 18 subcommittee meeting.
Dennis Aust, the city’s telecom and utility franchise manager, presented an overview of how private companies are helping fill in the gaps in high-speed broadband cabling to homes across Chandler — especially in the older-built, northern third of the city.
“At the rate things are going, by the end of 2025, a good chunk of the city will have been redone,” he said.
