Question of the Week: Are you confident that elections in Maricopa County will be fair and well-administered moving forward?

The Arizona Supreme Court sided unanimously July 7 with Maricopa County Recorder Justin Heap in his fight with the county Board of Supervisors over election duties, upholding a lower court’s ruling that Supervisors acted illegally and exceeded their “statutory authority by seizing the Recorder’s personnel, systems and equipment and refusing to return them” to Heap, who has been associated with election deniers. The July 21 primaries are under way and the midterms are Nov. 3. Are you worried about potential problems at the polls and during the tally, or do you think everything will be fine?

I want to know if Justin Heap will have access to the results before anyone else. Can he see the results of the early ballots now? If yes, and it they are not going his wanted way, I am concerned he will try to change the results.
