At age 12, Ariana Ruof had just been transplanted from Buffalo, New York, to Queen Creek, but it wasn’t long before she found a volunteer program that has become her life’s work.
Ruof’s mother found her 13-year-old daughter an opportunity to volunteer at the Queen Creek Boys & Girls Club. By the age of 18, Ruof was a part-time staff member at the club.
Her work at the Queen Creek Boys & Girls Club has encouraged her to continue helping other kids. She is a graduate student at Arizona State University in the Family and Human Development Ph.D. program and a children’s behavioral health technician with Terros Health.
