Queen Creek will have ‘sufficient time’ to adjust for rental tax repeal

Queen Creek projects revenue from an apartment and home rental tax will be $1.2 million for fiscal year 2024, but that source of money disappears starting January 2025 when the repeal of the tax goes into effect.

“While the prohibition will reduce the town’s revenues, given the lead time before the effective date, the town will have sufficient time to adjust our budgets and long-term financial plans without affecting our ability to provide programs and services,” according to a statement released by Queen Creek.
