Queen Creek Unified board looks to fill Knox vacancy

The QCUSD board is looking to fill a vacancy following the sudden resignation of member James Knox on Tuesday.

James Knox’s sudden resignation from the Queen Creek Unified School District governing board leaves a vacancy that will be filled through an appointment by Maricopa County School Superintendent Shelli Boggs.

Knox, a controversial figure on the QCUSD board, resigned effective immediately on Tuesday just hours before the board held its first meeting of the new year.
