Amaris Lewis goes from teacher to administrator at American Leadership Academy Queen Creek

Growing up with a mother who was a school principal, Amaris Lewis knew she would end up working in education.

What she did not expect was that a state would set aside a day in her honor.

Wife, mother, teacher and now school administrator, Mrs. Lewis’ life has revolved around education, psychology and sports. Her quick rise at the American Leadership Academy in Queen Creek is just one reason why Feb. 25 is now known as Amaris Lewis Day in the state House of Representatives.
