Queen Creek schools football player fighting cancer gets surprise from AZ Cardinals

In November, Kevin Winegar, a linebacker with the Eastmark High School football team in the Queen Creek Unified School District, was celebrating the Firebirds’ first state championship title in the 3A High School Division.

Soon after, Winegar was diagnosed and hospitalized with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

On learning this news, the Arizona Cardinals went into action
