Teachers and support staff in the Queen Creek Unified School District (QCUSD) are getting a pay raise after the QCUSD Governing Board unanimously approved salary increases for all employees during its meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 9.
The raises come after the new state budget increased funding for K-12 education.
“Teachers are the backbone of our district. We value their dedication and commitment to our students, and we want to make sure our budget reflects that,” stated QCUSD Governing Board President Ken Brague in a press release. “Our support staff is also essential for student success, and this package will ensure we remain in line with industry standards.”
