Queen Creek police to get vehicle attack barriers

The Queen Creek Police Department will be buying metal vehicle barriers for crowd protection after the town council voted to accept a $67,140 grant from the Arizona Department of Homeland Security.

The approval came at the council’s Oct. 4 meeting. The item was part of the council’s consent agenda, which is approved or rejected with one vote unless a council member or member of the public asks that an item be removed for a separate discussion or vote.
