Queen Creek police issue Lord assault timeline

Responding to criticisms from some corners that the Queen Creek Police Department did not act quickly enough to save 16-year-old Preston Lord on the October night he was severely beaten during a house party in the town, QCPD Chief Randy Brice issued a timeline of events and an update on the records release pertaining to the homicide case.

During the April 3 Queen Creek Town Council Meeting’s call to the public, one resident “spoke about concerns that neighbors in the QC Ranchettes (the site of the fatal assault of Preston Lord) called the police on Oct. 28 and their calls were not reflected in the timeline previously provided by QCPD,” according to a report on the QCPD’s website.

QCPD stated that it reached out to the speaker in order to obtain more information.
