Queen Creek police efforts to find missing teens may become state model

As concerns grow for teens who go missing from care in Queen Creek, town leaders are stepping up to provide information and action.

Since 2022, the Queen Creek Police Department has handled the cases of 1,063 missing children and teens. Of those, 764 have gone missing from group homes, the vast majority from Desert Canyon Academy and Desert Lily Academy. Eight are still missing.
