Queen Creek girls lose national tourney but still consider themselves winners

Their journey may not have ended the way they hoped, but a group of Queen Creek girls who qualified for a national soccer tournament were happy to be along for the ride.

The Arizona Soccer Club for girls 13 and under was the first team in club history to not only win a regional championship, but also qualify to play in the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships in Orlando.

The tournament took place in July and the team ended fourth in a field of four. Still, they are proud of what they accomplished.
