Queen Creek council recommends liquor license for planned Portillo’s

Posted

The Queen Creek Town Council has recommended that the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control approve a new restaurant liquor license application for a planned Portillo’s, a popular Chicago-style hot dog chain.

The council unanimously approved the recommendation at its April 19 meeting.
Portillo’s announced in March that it planned to open a restaurant in Queen Creek. The eatery will be located at 20745 E. Walnut Road.

According to the company, the Portillo’s will be 7,800 square-feet and will be designed in a Southwest garage theme.
The restaurant will have seating for 180 guests inside, as well as an outdoor patio with room for about 50 more people. In addition, it will have a double lane drive-thru.

The Queen Creek location will be Portillo’s sixth in the Valley.
