Queen Creek approves cost increase for new public safety facility

At its Wednesday meeting, the Queen Creek Town Council approved increasing the redevelopment costs of the Barney Family Sports Complex as it is converted into a public safety facility.

The $653,117 increase in construction costs for a new police shooting range is not to exceed $44.1 million. The total authorized budget amount for the entire redevelopment project has now been amended to $57.9 million.
