Queen Creek annexes Pinal County parcels

The Queen Creek Town Council has approved the annexation of almost 7 acres of Pinal County land in a move some residents claim is the first step toward bringing commercial activity to the area.

The measure to annex two vacant parcels making up 6.9 acres generally located at the southeast corner of Ocotillo and Meridian roads in Pinal County was approved on a 6-1 vote during Wednesday’s council meeting. Council Member Robin Benning voted no.
