QCUSD Awarded $2 million from state in COVID-19 assistance

The Queen Creek Unified School District has received more than $2 million to support the district’s students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The money is part of the Enrolled Stability Grant Funds from state of Arizona CARES Act. In March, the state received $4 billion from the more than $2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act passed by Congress to help individuals and businesses.

The $2 million QCUSD is receiving will go toward providing a safe learning environment in classes. It also provides for distance learning for parents who prefer to keep their children out of schools during the pandemic.
