QC student who brought gun to school charged with two felonies

The Pinal County Attorney’s Office has announced it is filing felony charges against a 9-year-old boy who was found with a gun on a Queen Creek School campus in August.

Today, the Pinal County Attorney’s Office announced it has charged the student with a minor in possession of a firearm, a class 6 felony; and interference with or disruption of an educational institution, a class 6 felony, according to a press release.

The Queen Creek Police Department investigated the incident, which occurred on Thursday, Aug. 25 at Legacy Traditional School-Queen Creek. In September, QCPD announced it would be filing felony and misdemeanor charges against the fourth-grade student and his parents with the Pinal County Attorney's office.
