Ask the Candidate

Q&A: What do Scottsdale Unified’s candidates think of the district override?

Along with electing two new governing board members in the November election, Scottsdale Unified School District will also be voting to approve another additional assistance override.

The District Additional Assistance Override, which was previously approved in the 2016 election, is set to expire in June 2024. If approved in the Nov. 8 election, the override will be effective starting July 2023 and last for seven years.

Prior to the election, the Independent is running a Q&A series with the SUSD governing board candidates.
