Q&A: 2024 Phoenix Open tournament chairman George Thimsen

George Thimsen has been named the 2024 tournament chair for the WM Phoenix Open, taking place Feb. 5-11, 2024, at TPC Scottsdale.

Despite February being several months away, planning for the 2024 WM Phoenix Open is well underway being led by The Thunderbirds member George Thimsen.

Thimsen has been bestowed the title of tournament chairman for next year’s Open, giving him the job of guiding The Thunderbirds organization in the planning and execution of all things WM Phoenix Open.

“It’s called the ‘People’s Open’ for a reason and we want to make sure that experience from top to bottom is the best it can be,” Thimsen said.
