When the RED Development team began meeting with east Phoenix residents about redeveloping the Paradise Valley Mall, they told the developer the mall was a community gathering space.
Even as more and more stores closed at the once-thriving mall, RED’s Senior Vice President of Development Jeff Moloznik said it never stopped being a community gathering space.
As traffic from outside the region decreased, traffic from nearby neighborhoods never did. Neighbors would gather to mall walk, meet with other families or for organized community events.
