Putting together the puzzle: More adults facing autism diagnosis

There are increasing chances that many adults today have autism spectrum disorder and may not realize it.

A recent report released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shared an increase in the prevalence of autism among children. The CDC estimated that 1 out of every 36 children has autism. This is a significant increase from the 2021 estimate of 1 in 44, which was a big jump from 1 in 110 in 2006.

The prevalence of US adults diagnosed with autism is estimated at nearly 5.44 million or about 2.21% of adults in the U.S.
