Public tips aid in arrest of Chandler criminal damage suspect
A 30-year-old Chandler man has been arrested as the suspect connected to damaging a car in a Costco parking lot.
The suspect is accused of causing $4,500 in damage Jan. 14 to a vehicle that was parked at Costco, 595 S. Galleria Way. The damage occurred, police said, following an argument over parking between the victim and suspect.
“The suspect and his acquaintances had entered the store but left without buying anything, making it challenging to identify who he was,” police said Friday, Feb. 24, in a release.

The Chandler Police Department requested the public's help last week in identifying the suspect. Several tips were received “that were instrumental in determining the suspect's identity,” police said.
This incident also was featured by Silent Witness, a nonprofit that works with law enforcement agencies.
Chandler detectives on Feb. 22 arrested Kyle Garcia, 30, of Chandler, who is being charged with one count of criminal damage, a class 5 felony, due to the amount of the property damage, authorities said.
