The gathering is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10 at Bell Road and Civic Center Drive, the site of three anti-Donald Trump protests last year.

Brent Peak of Northwest Valley Indivisible, the group organizing the gathering, said the scheduled event is to protest the killing of Renee Nicole Good, an unarmed mother of three whom an ICE agent shot and killed,

Peak said protesters will raise concern about expanding ICE operations expected in Arizona in the coming weeks.

The protest will also call on U.S. Rep. Abe Hamadeh (R-Surprise) to publicly oppose federal enforcement actions like the one this week in Minneapolis.

Northwest Valley Indivisible urged those who plan to attend to gather peacefully.
