Proposition 318 leads in Maricopa County early election returns

Arizona voters were favoring Proposition 318, a measure that would expand restrictions on transgender athletes participating in girls' and women's sports, according to early election results Tuesday night.

The measure had received 920,415 votes in favor, or 56.84%, compared with 698,839 votes against, or 43.16% by 10:11 pm.
