Prop 312, tax rebates for homeless camps, leads in early results

Proposition 312 has a 56.3% to 43.7% lead in early results. The ballot measure would give property tax rebates to business- or homeowners impacted by homeless encampments that a city neglects to address.

The proposition authored by the Scottsdale-based conservative think tank Goldwater Institute and put on the ballot by the Arizona Legislature allowing property owners to apply for tax refunds in cities that don’t deal with homelessness.
