When she's at a town council meeting, Michelle Cordes is all business. But when it comes to girls getting their dream dresses for prom, she's a softy.
“Just seeing that girl that came in so defeated and she leaves with a huge smile on her face because she really thought she wasn't going to be able to find something and she leaves with a full entire outfit and she's just proud,” Cordes said. “You can see the change in their posture and everything when they find that dress that they thought they were never going to find.”
Somewhere among juggling her family, her job as a Realtor and her duties as a Florence Town Council member, Cordes has found the time to lead, organize and generally do most of the work for Say Yes to Prom.
