Project Connect bringing needed resources to Tempe homeless

People experiencing or on the brink of homelessness in Tempe will have the opportunity to access some much-needed resources on Jan. 11.

Project Connect will take place at University Presbyterian Church, 139 E. Alameda Drive, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. About 250 to 300 guests are expected at the event, organized by the Human Services Campus and the 16 nonprofits located on its site in downtown Phoenix, according to a news release.

“Project Connect meets individuals experiencing homelessness where they are with services and resources in one place that may be otherwise unavailable for those looking for a path from street to home,” said HSC Executive Director Amy Schwabenlender in a prepared statement.
