Production of TSMC Arizona chips pushed back

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. announced it is pushing back its Arizona production schedule to 2025 as part of the company’s quarterly earnings update last week.

TSMC Arizona’s two fabrications will eventually manufacture more than 600,000 wafers per year with an estimated end-product value of more than $40 billion, according to a press release.

Production of microchips was expected to begin next year.
