Prices for park play likely rising in Surprise

City discussing ways to raise rec revenue

Inflation isn’t just hitting everything from groceries, cars and housing.

The cost to participate in the city of Surprise’s recreation program or to rent out park space is expected to climb this year, too.

The Surprise City Council will vote at the beginning of the new year on whether to raise the rates on just about everything the Parks and Recreation Department offers.
