The owners of the Starfire Golf Course have pulled their preapplication request to build several homes near the west side of the course.
The owners, Dave Ashton and Jeff Lundgren, had originally filed a preapplication to build four homes in the area near where they intend to build a par 3 course, then filed another preaplication for seven homes, though Lundgren has told the Daily Independent the number would have probably been four. However, that point is moot, at least for now.
“It just created too much confusion and misinformation for residents,” Ashton said.
