A section of Arizona Route 87 will be closed intermittently during daytime hours starting Wednesday, Aug. 3.
The Western Area Power Administration will be repairing power lines in the area southwest of Gilbert Road on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
Law enforcement officers will be at the site to help deal with the closures, which could last 15 minutes each time, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Traffic will be affected along SR 87 between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. each day from Wednesday to Monday, Aug. 8, in an area near Camelback Road, between Gilbert Road and Mesa Drive.
Schedules are subject to change due to factors such as bad weather, according to ADOT, which adds that drivers should stay alert for slowing or stopped traffic.
