Potential strike may hit Phoenix Sky Harbor

Employees of SSP America businesses inside the airport are citing wage issue and working conditions as reason for possible strike

A union representing some Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport concession workers and the company running various food and business operations there will meet Friday in a step to avoid a strike.
 
Concession workers voted on Sept. 1 voted to authorize a potential strike after negotiations between the union, Unite Here Local 11, and SSP America. The union strike could lead to more than 400 cashiers, cooks, baristas, bartenders and concession workers employed throughout the airport could strike at any moment.
