The master plan for community facilities in Sun City West has been a hot topic in the community, and residents waiting to hear from Recreation Centers of Sun City West officials should have a projected plan in early spring.
While a presentation on a possible upgrade to the R.H. Johnson library was the agenda item during the Nov. 3 RCSCW governing board workshop, The conversation took a turn to the master plan, with many board members questioning where an item such as this belonged.
“Two years ago, we solicited some firms to work on the master plan update and received one response, which was unfortunately for $350,000 and we took that down to a level we could afford and applied that to a series of surveys,” Rec Center General Manager Bill Schwind explained.
