Sun City Posse and Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office personnel urge residents to beware of scams so they don’t become a victim
Those who are not 100% comfortable when a person is at their door whom they do not know should call the company whom the person claims they are representing. Do not let anyone enter the home without verifying their identity and why they are there. Residents who feel uncomfortable and the person at the door appears insistent, call the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office at 602-876-1011 and request a deputy or call 911, explain the circumstances and ask for “law enforcement.”
The Sheriff’s Office has special units that deal with fraud, scams, ID theft, etc.
The Sun City Posse drives through neighborhoods on their regular patrols. However, if a resident feels uncomfortable, they can request additional drive-bys past their home. This can be accomplished by calling the Posse at 623-972-2555.
