Portillo’s doesn’t yet have a Chandler location, suprisingly. But the hot-dogs-and-more food chain has an expansion planned for far west Chandler soon.

The chain recently announced. new restaurant will be located near Ray Road and 1nterstate 10, and will feature its new “Restaurant of the Future look and feel,” according to a news release.

“We’re bun-believably excited to continue to grow in Arizona with a new restaurant in Chandler,” the release states. “It’ll be a smaller 6,250 square feet with plenty of seating for guests, both inside and out.”

The release states the chain will have the “signature” double drive-thru lanes and Portillo’s Pick Up shelves, as well as a grab-and-go retail area.

Signature menu items include Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, char-grilled burgers and chocolate cake.

The chain said job opportunities in Chandler will be posted at portillos.com/careers when available.

Potential customers can also sign up at portillos.com and check “Chandler, AZ” as a favorite location to stay updated on construction.
